Magnolia Bluffs Casino LLC HR TRAINER & RECRUITING COORD in Natchez, Mississippi

Magnolia Bluffs Casino, purchased by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC in October of 2021, is the newest property to the three casino brand. Situated in the heart of Natchez, MS, is the site where Learner's Mill opened up in 1828 and operated as a saw mill until 1962.We offer the local community and tourists daily entertainment with numerous slot machines, poker, black jack and roulette tables, delicious dining options and weekend entertainment. In addition to our boasting casino, we operate a beautiful hotel with the areas only salt water pool. 

As a member of HR Team, you will be responsible for the oversight of the recruitment and onboarding process. This role will utilize ADP Workforce Now as it's platform for success to ensure both the newest team members are starting off through the digital onboarding process, current employees are embracing their freedom to make changes to their employment information, and management is streamlining their processes. In addition to championing ADP, you will be designing and implementing training programs for every level of the Natchez, MS property ranging from orientation and TIPS training for new hires to employment law and leadership training for managers. 

  • Some of your daily activities will be; 
  • Ensure hiring requisitions are placed correctly, job postings are adequate and marketable, rejection letters are processed and offers are made
  • Assist managers with using HR Modules in ADP
  • Design and implement recruitment and retention strategies 
  • Identify needs to develop and implement training programs that are meaningful and useful to the organization 
  • Coordinate employee orientation ensuring cross department participation 
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee events
  • Act as an ambassador of the EAP program to promote and increase usage
  • Remain up to date on all HR legislation and trends ensuring effective transfer of knowledge to the HR tea

The ideal incumbent will embrace the HR field and have a desire to grow their work into a long-term career. You will have a minimum of two years experience in an HR role that specializes in recruitment as well as training & development with a high level of understanding of employment law and HR compliance. With ADP Workforce Now at the center of this role, a strong understanding and previous experience using this system for HR activities on a daily basis is needed. 

  • Additional experiences and education that will assist in the success of this role are as follows; 
  • Associates Degree in HR Management or related field 
  • PHR or SHRM-CP 
  • Ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Shows clear, creative and mature communication skills in both writing and presenting
  • Aptitude in problem solving and attention to detail
  • Desire and ability to work as part of team
