Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Education and Training Manager, you will manage the education and training efforts of the Ethics and Compliance Department. This includes developing, designing and rollout of education and training courses to benefit colleagues, Ethics and Compliance Officers (ECOs) and leaders within HCA Healthcare. You will be responsible for onboarding new Ethics and Compliance Officers (ECOs) and organizing on-site training orientations and meetings. In addition, you will develop resources to support ECOs in their job responsibilities and will track completions and effectiveness of training and education resources.

Your Responsibilities include:

Development and Design of Education and Training Resources

  • Meet with department members or stakeholders on potential ethics and compliance education and training resources.

  • Develop outline and manage timelines for these projects.

  • Create SharePoint training sites

  • Draft initial content, scripts and communication plans

  • Serve as primary liaison with Learning Solutions and HealthStream on projects and assignments

  • Plan monthly trainings for ECOs and annual Compliance Week activities

Manage Development and Tracking of COC Orientation and Annual COC Refresher Trainings

  • Ensure new hires and interns are completing COC Orientation within 30 days of hire.

  • Work with Responsible Executives and subject matter experts on development of annual COC Refresher

  • Serve as liaison with third-party vendor on management of COC Refresher

  • Prepare communications for rollout of COC Refresher to various leadership groups

  • Track completion rates and send reports to Corporate Leaders and DECOs about COC Refresher completion status.

Manage collection of analytical data on effectiveness of education and training resources and developing reports based on these data points

  • Review completion rates.

  • Rate of access to documents on Atlas Connect

  • Responses to questions within training courses

  • Collaborate with E&C teams, Divisions and facilities following release of education or trainings to determine if issues/concerns have been reported to them related to the subjects presented in trainings

Develop educational resources for Atlas Connect (Intranet), E&C External Websites and HealthStream

  • Work with E&C team members on development of education and training resources for Atlas Connect.

  • Coordinate with Compliance Standards team when policies are released and post to HealthStream.

  • Manage sections of sites to ensure information is timely and up-to-date.

  • Design site pages

Onboard new Ethics and Compliance Officers and work with newly acquired facilities on rollout of HCA Healthcare’s E&C program

  • Supervise Education and Training Specialist on the collection of data for the ECO Directory.

  • Draft welcome emails to new ECOs.

  • Plan and deliver new ECO Orientation. Work with Division and Corporate E&C teams to assist with the onboarding of newly acquired facilities

Assist with organization of Special Meetings

  • Bi-annual Division ECO meetings – assist with organization and preparation of meetings.

  • Secure speakers for annual ECO call.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required

  • Applicable work experiences (7 years or more) is preferred

  • Strong organizational and technology skills, including project management and training/website design is required

  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects is required

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Office 365 products is required

  • Proficient in Articulate Storyline and Adobe products such as Photoshop and After Affects is required
