We hire physicians, nurse practitioners, and mental health professional for openings with some of the top hospitals, clinics, and other facilities working both short and long-term contracts. We’re currently seeking a Primary Care Physician to fill an opening with a correctional facility in Florence (just Southeast of Phoenix) offering competitive pay, flexible schedules, and great work-life balance.

Details & Responsibilities –

• Competitive Pay

• Flexible full-time schedule

• 10 hour shifts

• 4 days/week

• No call or weekends required

• Start Date – ASAP

• Credentialing Estimate – 1 month

• Primary Care. Provide standard primary care – diagnose medical conditions, perform physicals, med management.

• • The Physician examines and treats facility detainees/inmates to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

• The primary care physician is the first point of contact for many patients and as a result must be able to diagnose a wide range of illnesses and injuries.

• The Physician is also responsible for managing the overall care of the patient and communicating with the specialist or specialists as needed.

• Manages and evaluates the medical program activities based on industry standards and contractual obligations.

• Functions as liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and the company. Implements all contractually required services.

• Take a leading role in the treatment of patients. Collaborate & work with other providers, nurses and medical assistants to ensure a high standard of care.

• Refer Patients. As needed, refer patients to off-site specialists.

• Patient Load – Adult population. Approximately 15 PPD.

  Required Qualifications –

• Active/Unrestricted AZ Medical License

• BC/BE with ABIM or ABFM

• BLS/ACLS Certification

• Active/unrestricted DEA
