Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise subordinate personnel in spill response and cleaning of Underground Electrical Structures along with oversight of the local Waste Water Treatment Facility

  • Ensure that all work activities of both Company and Contractors are performed in a safe, efficient and reliable manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures by conducting Job Briefings, Safety Talks, and by conducting Job Site Safety Exchanges

  • Be present on the front line every day to deliver safe and reliable service while meeting or exceeding the service expectations of our customers.

  • Evaluate work performance of subordinates on an on-going basis and provide timely feedback and coaching to improve quality and productivity

  • Advance and engage workforce in the work resource management process.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and understands the vital importance of personal accountability.

  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related work experience or

  • Associate's Degree and 4 years of related work experience or

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related work experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Must have working knowledge of all Environmental, Health and Safety concerns and Contractor Oversight.

  • Must be flexible to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities, and must be able to exercise independent judgment to arrive at sound, productive business decisions

  • Must have excellent organizational skills as well as possess strong leadership, problem solving, and oral and written communication skills.

  • Must possess analytical capabilities related to cost management, excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of the operation and maintenance of the electric distribution system.

  • Strong computer skills in Outlook, and Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word and Power Point is required.

  • Must be able to demonstrate experience with procurement and contractor services.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B Preferred

Physical Demands

  • Must respond to system emergencies

  • Must work at field locations in all weather conditions

  • Must work in an environment that includes heat, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations

  • Must climb ladders and stairs

  • Must enter underground vaults through manholes

  • Must work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)

  • Must walk, stand, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach

  • Must travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies

  • Must wear all necessary personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including; fire retardant clothing and safety harness

  • Must work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends, and holidays

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
